My running has been pretty pathetic lately. It wasn't that long ago when I was hitting very impressive milestones, but there hasn't been any progress as of late. I've just been doing at least 5K and then stopping.
The knees are the problem; more specifically my left knee. It starts to ache after a while of running, and if I ignore it the pain gets worse. I think the problem is that my legs are slightly different sizes, and it causes one of my knees to deal with a larger amount of force as my body compensates. I did some research, and my best guess is that it's iliotibial band syndrome.
So I should probably go to a doctor and get it looked at. But that sounds like a pain in the ass to me. So what I decided to do is buy some Joint Juice. I picked up a couple cans at Walgreens today, and just drank one of them. I now have the joints of a 25-year-old! Pretty amazing stuff.
I do realize that if my problem is iliotibial band syndrome, then that really has nothing to do with my joints. I don't care. Maybe I'll get super-human joint abilities or something.
